User willreceive an email if both global and category-based subscriptions are enabled for this user. Subscription category is set up per email template. Different email templates may be associated with different mailing categories, thus users would get emails based on their opt-in for corresponding categories.

Some examples of a mailing category are: Sales, Marketing, Support, etc. The subscription model in Arnica EmailServer provides a flexible choice of user (recipient) opt-in/opt-out both globally or per individual category.
