Data export options in Arnica WebReport

The main output format of Arnica WebReport is HTML. Generated reports can, however, export data into several alternative data formats.

When the report presents data, export options are available via report toolbar controls:

Alternatively, exporting to a specific non-HTML format may be triggered directly from the report prompt page or by executing report APIs programmatically.

The following are supported export formats and corresponding  export options:
  • HTML - export to static "print-friendly" HTML, free from all interactive controls
    • option to generate one continuous HTML output
    • option to generate HTML output broken by fixed number of rows (pages)
  • PDF - export to PDF format, closely matching static HTML format
    • option to generate one continuous PDF output
    • option to generate PDF output broken by fixed number of rows (pages)
  • CSV - export to comma delimited list of values, with one line per record
    • options to generate detailed records, or data group records with group level aggregate calculations, or report totals
    • options to use user friendly column titles or system column names in CSV header
  • JSON - export to JSON format
    • options to generate detail records, or data group records with group level aggregate calculations, or report totals
    • options to include data from certain pages
  • XML - export to XML format
    • options to generate detail records, or data group records with group level aggregate calculations, or report totals
    • option to include XML schema
    • options to present values as elements or attributes
    • option to include data from certain pages
When exporting to one of the formats listed above, the report does not re-execute query requests against the database, but instead uses the original data cached when generating the original interactive HTML output.
